In previous version we had only one base and the remaining rooms/rate plans/occupancies will be the child of the Base. Link to the old version

In new version we have an option of multiple parent, multiple children, with only one base i.e. there is an option of multi-level configuration.

The modifiers can be fixed/percent and values can be added or subtracted based on the parent.

Note: There should be only one base and below to the base there can be any number of parent and child configuration

Room Types

There is an option to select multi level room types like below:

Rate plans

There is an option to select multi level rate plans and also we introduced the modifier percentage at rate plan level along with fixed type.

There is an option to select whether the rate plan is applicable for “Per Room” or “Per Adult”.

For Per Room >> Room price will be calculated like room type price + occupancy price + rate plan price

For Per Adult >> Room price will be calculated like room type price + occupancy price + rate plan price * occupancy count (like double(2), triple(3), quad(4), five person(5) etc.)

Note: If “Per Room” is “ON” then it will take “Per Room” configuration and if it is “OFF” then it will consider as “Per Adult”

Room Occupancies

There is an option to select multi level parent and children at room occupancies level also with one base. Room occupancies support both fixed and percentage modifiers.

In previous version there was no option to change the base occupancy, now there is an option to change base occupancy i.e. there can be any occupancy as base along with single

Extras

In new version, “Extras” will be calculated based on the “Rate Plan” configuration.

Note: For Extra Child (0-5), whatever the value entered, the same will be reflected while updating prices

Ex: Extra Child value is 500, and Rate plan value is -100 then price of Extra Child for that particular room will be 500-100 = 400

The base configuration will be displayed, upon entering the base value, values of all combinations will be shown according to the configuration

Room type Configuration

Twin room is dependent on Standard room and Standard room is dependent on Classic room

Twin room value will be 2000 - 100 + 200 = 2100

Rate Plan type Configuration

Breakfast is dependent on EP and MAP is dependent on Breakfast

From above screenshot Breakfast is “Per Adult” (As per room is off) and MAP is “Per Room”

  • Classic Room EP Single : 2000
  • Classic Room EP Double : 2000+ 100 (occupancy) = 2100
  • Classic Room EP Triple : 2000 + [100 +120 (occupancy)] = 2220

Classic Room - Breakfast

  • Classic Room Breakfast Single : 2000(room type) + 100 (breakfast) = 2100
  • Classic RoomBreakfastDouble : 2000+ 100(occupancy) + [100 * 2 (breakfast)]= 2100+200 = 2300 (as breakfast is per adult)

Suite Room  Breakfast   Quad : 2000

Room Type Configuration:

Suite Room is the base, Executive Room is dependent on Suite Room and Premiere Room is dependent on Executive Room

Executive Room will be 2000 + 10% = 2200

Premiere Room will be 2200 + 20% = 2640

Rate Plan Type Configuration:

Breakfast is base rate plan, AP plan is dependent on Breakfast and EP plan is dependent on AP

 

AP plan is “Per Adult” basis and EP plan is “Per Room” basis

Room Occupancy Configuration:

Triple is base occupancy, Quad is dependent on Triple, Double is dependent on Quad and Single is dependent on Double

 

Base Combination Calculation:

a) Suite Room  Breakfast  Triple: 2000                                

Suite Room  Breakfast  Quad: 2000 + 150 (occupancy value)= 2150

Suite Room  Breakfast  Double: 2150 - 90 = 2060

Suite Room  Breakfast  Single: 2060 - 50 = 2010

b) Suite Room  AP  Triple : 2000 + 30% [10%*3(triple)]= 2600 (RatePlan value) (As AP is Per Adult)

Suite Room  AP  Quad: 2150 + 40% = 3010

Suite Room  AP  Double: 2060 + 20% = 2472

Suite Room  AP  Single: 2010 + 10% = 2211

c) Suite Room  EP  Triple: 2600 - 5% = 2470 (As EP  is Per Room)

Extras calculation when Percentage modifier is applied at rate plan level:

Suite Room  EP  Extra Bed: 

As percentage modifier is applied, in this case “Extras” value will be calculated based on room and rate plan combination.

So first Suite room EP value to be calculated which is as follows:

As Suite room is base, value of room type will be 2000

EP plan value will be calculated as follows:  

AP plan value will be: 2000 * 10% =  200

As base occupancy is Triple and AP is Per Adult, value should be multiplied by 3 = 200*3 = 600

EP Plan value will be: 2000 + 600 = 2600 * 5% (EP plan modifier value) = 130 (As EP is Per Room no need to multiply by occupancy value)

Suite Room  EP  ExtraBed will be:

500 (Extrabed value) + 600(AP plan value of suite room) - 130 (EP plan value of suite room) = 970

Executive Room  EP  ExtraBed will also be: 970

Note:  At hotel level, for extras, prices will be same for room and rate plan combination

i.e. if Extra child price of Suite room EP is 500 then

         Extra child price of Executive room EP will also be 500
