We have introduced new features on BE. They are:

  • Support for upto 20 pax occupancies
  • Introducing Base occupancy
  • Include children in Room Capacity
  • Modify Prices in the calendar
  • Extra Child Policy in Price Update

Support for upto 20 pax occupancies

By default we now allow upto 20 persons occupancies to be updated on Update Prices section.

Note: Please make sure if we want to allowing occupancies till 20 persons the property connected through BE only  (i.e We are managing rates and inventory directly on BE which is not connected with channel manager)

If the property is connected on channel manager(i.e we are managing rates and inventory through our channel manager to BE. So our channel manager will allow the occupancies to till 8 persons only)

Introducing Base occupancy

By default, 20 pax occupancies is supported in the booking engine. However, base occupancy can be used to show the occupancy as per the hotelier choice. This can be updated in the manage price section as shown in the screenshot below

Then it will be possible by enabling Base Occupancy with required Adult value. Once we update the Base occupancy with required Adult value same will visible in update pricing section

Use custom pricing to override base price as in the screenshot below

Include children in Room Capacity

You can now define if children should be counted under maximum adults accommodated in the room.

Note: It’s a mandatory to set the Maximum Adults value if we want to use Include Children feature. The total guest count should not more than the Maximum Adult value which we have set on Room level.

Once we've updated the Maximum Adult value with include children while booking time the total no.of guest values should less than or equal to the Maximum Adult value.

Example: We have set the Maximum Adult value as 3 with Include Children. While booking time we can book with following combinations

  • Max Adult as 3 (or)
  • Max Adult 2 and Extra child 1 (or)
  • Max Adult 1 and Extra child 2 (or)
  • Max Adult 1 and Extra child 1 and so on

Modify Prices in the calendar

The price calendar now includes an option to modifying the existing prices.

Extra Child Policy in Price Update

The child policy defined in the manage pricing section will get updated in the update pricing section.

In manage pricing, Max child policy to till 18 yrs children can be defined.

If child policy is not specified, a default policy will be applied automatically i.e.  (0-5) yrs and (6-12) yrs.
